Azure Esports Emerges Hong Kong Champ in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2018

Hong Kong, 23 December 2017 – The HKSAR leg of the region’s biggest world-class gaming tournament, Asia Pacific Predator League 2018 by Acer came down to a thrilling final that saw Azure Esports conquering new worlds in a game that lasted 2 hours, and defeating Ancient Trash.

In addition to being the HKSAR champion, Azure Esports also took home the cash price HKD 30,000 and bragging rights of representing HKSAR in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2018 Grand Final that will be held in January 2018 in Indonesia.

As many as 11 teams participated in the tournament that had three days of Online Qualifying rounds – 4th to 6th December 2017. Only four teams qualified to join semi-finals to battle their way to becoming the first HKSAR Predator League champion.

The teams in the HKSAR semi-finals were Ancient Trash, Azure Esports, DOTA2GEDA and Dotes Lordes.

The Asia Pacific Predator League 2018 HKSAR Final tournament was streamed live at Acer Hong Kong’s Facebook account at https://www.facebook.com/131164600276454/videos/1611418225584410/ where it had a reach of more than 1,500. The exhilarating tournament was also streamed on twitch and YouTube.

The HKSAR Predator League champion will battle country champions from seven other nations (Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Sari Lanka, Singapore and Thailand) for a shot at the USD 150,000 total prize pool in the Grand Final that will be hosted by Acer Indonesia.
